When Life Took Me Seriously! (A Love Story)
*You may be wondering why I would post Paul Walker’s photo here. Here’s why:
This is one of the first two photos I posted when I first entered tumblr’s universe two years ago. Since Fast and Furious 1, I’ve loved Paul Walker. Who doesn’t? Right?
It’s been two years since I posted this with the caption: “Love the shoes, love the ride, and soooo love the driver!” I was referring to Paul Walker of course.
If you can recognize this scene, this is from “Fast and Furious 4” where Paul had to compete with other drivers to win the trust of the guy they’ve been spying on. It led to them racing in downtown L.A.
I can still remember how my heart used to stop with that race, watching how Paul (Brian O’Conner) manipulated the gear, the wheel, and the pedals. My heart beats like crazy with every turn especially when he drove the car down the hill. I was like, “Oh my God! No, he just did not do that.”
I am such a big fan of him, needless to say.
Days turned to months and eventually a year passed in the life of a fan who calls herself “Mrs. O’Conner” and still watches FF4 every now and then.
I still get re-blogs with the same photo I posted. Everything’s been quite the same with me the whole time. Until one day, one momentous day, I met this guy.
He sent me an invite in a social network. I didn’t want to add people up especially if I didn’t know them personally. So his invite stayed in my notifications for some weeks. I even went on a vacation not minding it.
When I came back, I checked my account and checked some notifications. I noticed the guy’s invite was still there. I opened up his profile but the picture was small. I couldn’t make out his face. The one thing which caught my eye was his really sexy race car colored green (and that’s my favorite color). I added him up just because he had a cool car. LOL! Still, he didn’t matter to me.
I noticed that he keeps on posting about car shows and everything that has to do with cars. Sometimes, I check it out. But, I was not interested in him; only with the cars.
So one morning, I posted something and I was surprised that he left a comment on it after a few seconds. So I replied back thinking it would end there. But nooooo….. never had I imagined that it was actually just the beginning. We kept on chatting and talking. I ask him mostly about cars and we talk about the shows his team goes to. He asks me things about myself, etc., etc.,
After some weeks, we talk more of personal things. We got close and we have fun talking to each other at a more personal level. We’ve grown comfortable enough to make me like him a lot. Weeks passed and I felt different, I was falling in love with him, and fast.
In one of the usual days we were talking (I could not remember when was that), he had mentioned something which for me was a surprise. I was surprised and he was surprised with my being surprised. hahahaha. I can still remember how I almost jumped out of my seat that day.
Somewhere within our talk, he had casually mentioned that he was actually the one behind the wheel of that blue car above. And he was the one who was doing all the stunt driving.
I was speechless the next moment. Maybe for others it is a common thing, but as a huge fan of Paul Walker and the movie, I couldn’t believe I am talking to the very person who did all the heart-stopping maneuvers in that very scene I used to watch over and over again.
Of course I know there are stunt drivers for that, but would you actually think about them when you’re watching? Right. No. For me, it was all Paul.
But, I guess life took me all too seriously and it led the real driver of that car towards me so I can, for real, love him.
I just realized this now when I got another re-blog and I viewed the said post. I actually never looked at it this way until now.
He may not be Paul Walker, but he is more than any celebrity to me. I am his number one fan. I will always be proud of him.
Indeed, I sooooo love the driver of that car.
