Our love story began on December 2005. We met each other through a MMORPG called Ragnarok. It was my birthday that time.
I provided a photo just so everybody could have an idea of what Ragnarok is like (for those who don’t know it yet). ^__^
A friend and I were just talking through PM’s while the “Happy Birthday Farah” chatbox is open.
Suddenly someone PM’d me and greeted me a Happy Birthday. It was HIM. :)
We chatted for a few minutes and he asked for my Friendster account. (old skool, i know. XD haha!)
I gave mine, he added me and never spoke to me again.
Little did I know.. That guy would change my life..
It was around May 2006 when a guy messaged me on Friendster and asking how did I become his friend.
So I explained that maybe we met in-game etc etc.
We exchanged Friendster messages for about a month. We often text and call each other as well. And then he told me he liked me.
I finally said “Yes” on September 23, 2006.
We haven’t reached our 1st month yet… But it was time for him to leave for the US. From what I can remember, he left on October 16, 2006.
Our first year was a long-distance relationship.
We often chat online. That was the only form of communication we have.
It was rough keeping it together because we were miles apart. It came to a point where we almost break up. But our love kept us going.
October 2007: I went to the US for a vacation. We met at LA.. Every other day he would not attend school just to visit me. It was a blissful feeling when you’re with someone you love after not seeing each other for a long time.
January 2008: He came back to pursue his college degree here in the Philippines.
I’m so happy that we’re together again. Celebrate every occasion that we missed when he’s still in the states, together.
Lots of things happened during that time.
We encountered all sorts of mishaps, but we managed to get over it.
We are now together for 4 years and 7 months.
But that’s not the end of our story..
Last April 2011, he graduated from college.. So, this June, he will return to the US to work.
We will be starting another chapter in our relationship.. This time, its long distance.. again.
He means everything to me. He accepts me for who I am. He makes me proud. He even tells me that I’m the most beautiful girl in the world even if I’m having tons of breakouts or when I gained weight or when my hair is messy as a rat’s nest.
After being together here in the Philippines for almost 3 years, I think the separation that will happen between us will be a lot harder than before.
Our love grew deeper as time progressed. I can’t even picture myself without him. The thought of him leaving gives pain to my chest, I can’t help but to break down in tears every time that thought crosses my mind.

We don’t have an idea on when will we meet again. We’re just hoping for the best.
Relationships are not about how long you’ve been together. Its also not about the distance. Its about the trust and love you have for each other.
I know we can surpass this, this is just another challenge that God gave us.
