This is my boyfriend Gab with me, photographed by one of our best friends. Gab and I have been together for over 7 months, which seems like a short time to others, but before we became official, we were pretty much “unofficial” for almost a whole year. Our past (meaning the many months before we became official) is filled with so much happenings (both good and bad), that it makes our relationship so much more valuable. Our past is what makes us strong both as individuals and as a couple, what with all the difficulty we went through just so that we can be together as an official couple.
In three days, we’re about to go through another difficult stage in our relationship: I’ll be moving away from him, to a different country, and I’ll have to be away for 5 years. We decided to take a shot at a long distance relationship, and we both know how difficult it’s going to be. I’m really scared that we might not work out, but the way he treats me and the way he reassures me that we can make it gives me hope. I’m taking his word for it because before our relationship, he was in a long distance relationship which turned out to be disastrous, but despite that, he’s still willing to take a chance with me. He was even the one who persuaded me into trying to make it work despite the distance, so I guess that means something, right? :)
I really love this boy so much, and even if we ever have to part, I won’t ever deny that fact. ♥
