What can I say? I love love. Though I have never actually been in love, I’m one of those people who believe that love conquers all, just like in the fairy tales. It’s something special and it should never be taken for granted. I don’t think people should throw the word ‘love’ around like it’s no big deal. For example, I know people who say “Oh, I love him/her so much,” after like, I don’t know, a few days of dating? I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how someone could know they’re in love in such a short amount of time. I do believe in love at first sight but I think that people should wait until they know for sure that it’s love they are feeling. The word ‘love’ just seems less special coming from people who say that about every guy/girl they date. I also think that there is more than one type of love, that’s why you love more than one person but you love them all differently. Love is just something that cannot be defined because everyone feels it differently. It also explains why so many people fall in love more than once. Of course you can fall in love with more than one person, you’re just in love with each of them differently. But then I think that when you meet your soul mate, the one you’re destined for, it’s an entirely different kind of love. I imagine that you would just feel differently; that you would realize that all those other times you’ve been in love would never compare to what you’re feeling now. I’m not saying that those other times meant nothing because they do mean a lot; they were all experiences to prepare you for your one true love. A love that you would feel from the depths of your heart and soul. But maybe you shouldn’t take what I’m saying to heart. I don’t speak from experience and it could be a complete lie; but I don’t believe that. I believe that love exists; that love is like magic; that love, all kinds of love, is something that makes life worth living. (via sandelina)
