This is my Ku’uipo, my sweetheart on the day we graduated. From the first day that I spoke to him, even I knew we were complete opposites yet, there was something about him that I couldn’t let go. Even though everyone told us we were too different we never let their words hold us apart. He is the first boy that I have ever told ” I like you ” to. Waiting 17 years to have my first kiss by him was well worth it and the day that he told me he loved me still gives me butterflies. Though the day of graduation forced us both to realize that soon we would be miles away, opposition still hasn’t stopped us. We’ve been on a beautiful journey together since December 18th 2009 and everyday my love for him grows. I love him for who he is and for who he has helped me to become. He is my best friend, my lover, my sweetheart, and I will always and forever be his “babycakes”.
