We’re in a long distance relationship (and about to tackle our third year apart). I’m glad our relationship started as it did, we would hang out once in a while, and soon we became bestfriends. What I love about our relationship is that I am able to communicate with him about my faith, and he is able to do that too.
I was lucky enough to spend almost everyday with him this past summer. From baseball games, to disneyland, and building a house in Mexico! He’s not only my boyfriend, but as a lot of girlfriend’s say, he’s my bestfriend. This summer may have put our relationship to the test, but it has helped us learn many things, and most importantly compromise and communication. He has given me hope about the future, and has reassured me multiple times, that everything is going to be okay. I just wanted to show the world how in love with this boy I am. And I’m really excited to see him when I visit him at school in 4 days!
To who ever is in a long distance relationship:
Just have faith, don’t let your doubts or worries overcome your good and happy times. Block out what people think, and just believe in how you feel. I have been told multiple times, that mine and and my boyfriend’s relationship is headed for disaster, but look at us now, 2 years and counting, while those people who doubted us, haven’t even gone past a couple of months. But it’s not about time, it’s about commitment and trust.. and being in a long distance relationship will definitely put that to the test.
