For as long as I can remember, I have always told myself that I would never date someone in the military.
I could not stand the idea of having my boyfriend sent off to war for months at a time and not being able to see or talk to him everyday. I could not stand the idea of having to wonder how he is doing and what he is going through every day. I have always been the clingy and needy kind of girlfriend so I have always told myself that I would never get myself involved with someone in the military.
I did not know that you would join the Air Force when we first started dating. To be honest with you, I don’t think that I would have let myself fall so hard for you if I knew that you wanted to become an Airman. However, It’s too late to back out now because I am too damn in love with you, so screw what I used to think. I might not be able to see you, talk to you, hug you or kiss you everyday, but I know for a fact that I’d rather be with you than with anyone else in this whole entire world.
You are still a long way from actually getting deployed but when the time comes, I will be ready. I will be ready to wait for you and support you no matter what.I promise you love, patience, and loyalty. As of now, I am going to cherish every single day that we have left together.
