Emily and I met online and connected right away. A few dramatic things happened in the first couple months of our relationship, but there’s no need for detail. I lived in Hawaii, while she was in Florida- a 4500mile distance and a 6 hour time difference. It was difficult, but somehow we made it work. She’d stay up until 3am, just to talk to me before bed. Then she’d wake me up way early in the morning to talk to me before school. We had our ups and downs, like any relationship, but we were going strong. Six months had passed and I finally moved to Florida (about 5 hours from her) like I had planned. We’re now in the same timezone, but not for long. I went and stayed with her for 3 weeks and they were the best weeks of my life. When I was on my way back home, I realized I was going home to nothing. It was quite a depressing couple days, considering I lived alone still far from my babygirl. I decided, recently, that I hate living alone so I’m moving to California to live with my Grandpa. I’ll be back across the country from Emily, and we’ll have a 3 hour time difference. But we’ll make it, we’ve been through worse. It will only be for a year, then she’ll be following me to California and we’ll be going to college and living together.
I hope this gives everyone with a LDR hope.
