1. Sometimes you have to change things up a bit! Doing the same thing all the time can get boring, and boredom can really affect your relationship, believe it or not. What you want to do, is try to do things differently every once in a while. If you always go to Applebee’s on Fridays for “date night” or something, go do something totally different that’s still fun (there’s lots of things to do for dates). And that’s just an example. There’s a million ways to keep things interesting and change things up. :)
2. I think you should talk it over with your best friend first. No guy is worth screwing up a strong friendship for, and she may not feel alright about you dating him. Talk it over with her. See how she feels, and then make your decision.
3. Yes, it is perfectly okay. And honestly, this isn’t healthy. I understand you love him and you want to be there for him no matter what, but he doesn’t seem like he’s going to budge. He’s said straight out to you he’s in love with someone else. The reality is that if he does ever pursue his feelings for you, it won’t be for a long time. Sometimes being selfish isn’t a bad thing, because sometimes you really have to do things for yourself. If you’re hurting by talking to him about this all the time, then you have to change that so you don’t hurt anymore.
