Colin & Nikki: I met this nerd around Halloween in 2008. I went to my senior homecoming with my best friend at a school I used to attend by moved away from in 2006. After homecoming, she forced me to go to a haunted house that I had no desire to go to. Her boyfriend was there and so was her friend, Colin. Since I was absolutely terrified of haunted houses, I introduced myself to Colin and explained to him that I was going to have to hold on to him through the night. He was super shy but agreed and protected me from ghosts and evil clowns all night.
We ended up talking all night through instant messages and instantly fell in love with one another. I had to go home the next day, but Colin made the effort to come see me two weeks later and took me out on a real date.
He’s made the 200 mile round trip to see me every weekend for three years now. We hope to be finally moving in together next year. :)
