Whenever couples say “They never said we would make it” or “My family doesn’t support our relationship”, I get a little annoyed. Granted, some families are always going to be intolerable and stuck up. But some families just want what’s best for you. There’s probably a reason why they don’t want you and your significant other together.
If this is you, at some point in time ask yourself “Why don’t they like him/her? What is wrong with being with them?”
Although that may be true in some situations, it doesn’t hurt to support the person who is in the relationship. A lot of families do have reasons as to why they don’t support the relationship, but it’s always good to at least accept it. So I don’t really agree with you entirely. It’s hard to go through a relationship that makes you really happy and then have all this pressure around you because no one wants you to be together.
