this boy right here, i’ve been dating for 14 months today. he means the absolute world to me. we have good days and bad days and we laugh and we cry, but as long as it’s with him, i’m okay. i’m in love with him, positively all of him. i’m his. and he’s mine. i don’t know how to put it into words sometimes, and expressing this feels like i’m sharing something so private with the world, but it’s the truth. i know people don’t understand us, but they don’t have to. all that matters is our happiness and the love we share staying strong. i wouldn’t want to be arguing with or hugging or kissing anyone else. he makes me happy. he helps me in more ways than he’ll ever know and he has a knack for surprising me.
he tries so hard to make me happy and he’s managed to evolve into an even more amazing person than when i met him. all of his effort is evident and i can’t even begin to explain how proud he makes me every single day. i’m grateful to be able to be a part of his life and that he’s made his mark in mine.
it’s kind of a long-distance relationship, but it’s complicated. during the school year, i’m about an hour-long bus ride away and i’m about an hour and a half drive during winter and summer breaks. i see him usually on weekends, and it’s amazing every time I see that beautiful face of his. it still gives me butterflies when i’m waiting outside of his apartment and i see him walking towards me. i wouldn’t trade that feeling for the world. he tries not to smile, but it’s inevitable. it’s cute to watch him try to hold it back. i love skyping with him and we do it a lot. sometimes we don’t even talk, we just have each other up on the screen while we do school work. i just like knowing that he’s there.
