Previous: http://www.autostraddle.com/the-best-break-up-advice-youll-ever-get-84054/ Hi, I know that is a lesbian website but that link there is one of the greatest things I've ever read on the subject of getting through a break up. I've gone through a number of break ups and am in an amazing relationship right now with a wonderful woman, but when I read that, I cried buckets. I cried for all the past relationships that collapsed and wished that I gotten advice like that during those break ups. I cried for all the time I spent, wishing that things were alright and that we didn't have to leave each other. Most of all, I cried because it felt so good to know that I wasn't the only one who was breaking down. For me, the most heartrending line in that article has got to be "Then I started again and stopped again and started again and then stopped for good… … I promise you will survive, and with more grace than you can now imagine and that you will have more grit and vision because of it." Sometimes, weeks or months after the break up, you may think that you have gotten over it but then something will just jump out at you and you'll start crying again. You'll feel that somehow you're just stuck in a cycle where you start and then stop...start and stop. But you will stop one day and it will be for good.

It was one of the most shallow fights we had in the history of shallow fights we had. We threw a dozen of cuss words and a handful of insults to each other. Passionate is how anyone would call our arguments. When we fight, we rev up for each and every single one.

But when we finally settled down and just sat there in silence, he held my hand and hugged me. The fight ended, just like that. It amazes me how our fights begin and end. We’re a couple of impulsive idiots who just so happens to be head over heels crazy for each other.

Here’s to 53 months of feisty arguments and an infinity of heated banters ahead. <3

**Photo was taken on our 53rd monthsary and the day he finally met my parents ;)
