No Greater love

So the love I am going to talk about hasn’t been presented on your blog before, and it was something that kind of just occurred to me, when I thought of the deeper meaning of love in all it’s beautiful forms. Before I say anything I ask that everyone simply read this through, for there is an underline meaning in it in the end :).

The love that I am talking about is Gods, now before I go on I’d like to clearly point out that I love and respect ALL peoples beliefs, so in no means is this post going to be Judgmental or offensive, so I hope nobody takes it that way :). But personally, as a Christian and my walk with God, he as taught me how to love in all aspects of life.

From what I’ve seen, and felt in my walk, God is love, and his love is unconditional, meaning no matter who you are, what beliefs you have, what mistakes you have made, what you have done or will do, what walk of life you come from or may lead, God does not and will not EVER love you any less. This kind of love to me is so beautiful, and it’s a kind of a love that I think so much more of us could be living out, and I mean that for all people. I’m not saying that everyone needs to believe, not at all, by this I meant that this kind of love, is the love we should have for each other, when we see a stranger on the street smile at them, show them kindness, when you see someone in need, love them, be there to help, love the people that have been rejected by society, the geeks, the nerds, the jocks, everyone, a certain kind of beauty sets in when we take that step. Love in all it’s forms is such a beautiful and powerful thing, and this, is what my faith has taught me, what god has shown me.

Another thing God  has taught me is love is sacrifice, I’m sure everybody knows or is familiar with the verse John 3:16 “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son”, he loved everyone that much, that he sacrificed the thing most dear to him. I relate this to life now a days, we have all been there, points in life where we have had to sacrifice things, out of love, because you loved that person that much. Sometimes this means loving someone enough to let them go, just wanting to see this person happy. “No greater love is he, than one that would lay his life down for a friend”, I find that to be amazing, because we have all been there, were we loved someone that much, and maybe it’s not just romantic love, it can be all kinds of love, love for a friends, parents, family, God, anything. But it’s just the selfless love, the kind that just warms your heart, is what makes love so wonderful.

And lastly one of the most beautiful things out of everything that God has taught me, is how to love people. Everyone on this planet, no matter who you are and where you come from has a story to tell. This means that all people are valuable and capable and worthy of love, no matter what kind of walk of life you come from, and if we would all take that time to listen, put down our guards, and see that really we aren’t that different from each other, take that time to reach out and care, we really start to see not only a change in the world, but a change in ourselves. Hold the door open for someone, smile at a stranger. Be kind to people( and especially kind to the grumpy ones ;P ), because you never know somebodies story, or what they may be battling in their life, so something as simple as a smile, could mean the world to them. Accept people for who they are, flaws, mistakes and all, and love people, when all else fails just love them :).

Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Loves is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It dose not take offense and is not resentful. Love take no pleasure in others people’s sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Love never fails 1 Corinthians 13
