thats me and my boyfriend, andrew on a school retreat while playing pool. if theres one thing ive learned with him its this: things do get better. two years ago in freshman year, we went out the first time. that ended really badly after four months and we didnt talk for a year after that. then in july 2010, i got a drunk phone call apology. like hell id believe him, but i agreed to a day with him in august. a day where id spend with him to prove he meant what he was saying, despite the drunkness. needless to say, i agreed but after running into him at a baseball game and feeling sparks, i tried to promise myself here on tumblr, not to fall in love again because i didnt wanna get hurt.
the day before we met up again, i got an out-of-the-blue text from him saying he wanted to see me. i agreed and noticed the spark was still there, even stronger now. i knew at that moment, that the next day, august friday the 13th, was gonna be my chance to act on that spark. was i scared out of my mind? yes, but i knew deep down it was different…and it was.
friday the 13th was the best day of my life, it honestly changed my perspective on life. we started going out on sept 13 2010 [we both left the state and thought it’d be pointless to rush]. but ever since September, ive we’ve grown up for the better, together. it was inevitable but i have fallen in love with him, and i dont regret taking the break because we’ve become best friends as well as become closer in love.
this picture i posted with this is the definition of our relationship. love is something that makes things not better, but enhances the greatness already in your life. loving andrew has made my life better and knowing he loves me means more than words can ever describe. we joke around but get things done. thats what the picture says. when it comes down to it, past the hormones, disagreements, and whatever else may come our way, we will always have this love.
