October 2nd, 2010 - Our Homecoming night, the night he asked me to be his girl <3
It all started with a poke.
I have never talked to him in my life, but he asked me to Homecoming. I just stared at the rose he gave me then said yes a few seconds later. It was the most unexpected thing & left me shocked for days. It was awkward for a while, then we started talking at the football game & danced at the “D0LLA DANCE”. I know we both had a good night because he sent me a smiley face after (:
He started walking me to my classes & making my day. On Homecoming day, we met each other’s moms & I got to see him douggie (: During “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, he asked me to be his girlfriend. People, including my mom, questioned why we were together when we knew so little about each other, but we didn’t care. We believed that if you like someone, you’d be with them & just get to know and love everything about them. We had a great, perfect relationship. We would hang out & we both had the biggest smiles on our faces the whole time. We were both happy, but we were both so stubborn & we aggravated each other. We had communication complications, and he broke up with me. A week later, he got back with me because he missed me & we both knew being just friends isn’t gonna work out for us.
Our relationship is progressing. All the walls I’ve built up just came down in seconds. I opened up to him quicker than I’ve ever opened up to anyone before. He knows more about me than most of my friends. We have the stupidest arguments, and we irritate each other on a daily basis. We call each other the nastiest names, and have play fights. We tell each other everything that is bothering us, and we both listen. He’s there for me when I need him, and I’ll always be there for him. Whether it’s his deceased dad’s birthday, or when he’s getting tested for stuff & can’t go out, I’ll be right by his side. We go to church, and we’re almost always together. I got in so much trouble with this kid because I sneaked him in. But you know what? My parents didn’t prohibit me from seeing him because they love him. My whole family knows about him, and they approve (:
I don’t care what anyone else says. I love this guy. Sure, we have our downs, but we’re almost always up & improving. Every time I spend with him are precious & I would never trade them in for anything. I love him, and I love our relationship. We’re not perfect & we’re not that cute, but I know he cares for me & I care for him. I trust him & I know that he’s never going to do anything to hurt me. I’m never gonna do him wrong. He’s everything I need, and I want to be with him until the day I die.
