Part 14: http://fuckyeahhlove.tumblr.com/post/1730221127/the-pursuit-of-love-part-14 High School Senior Year (2008) Senior Prom Months before, my cousin and I planned to go to Seaside with a bunch of people from our high school. I was wondering who to take to prom and I thought of our mutual friend. I ended up asking her instead of this new girl, Pandapple What I wouldn’t expect is that Pandapple liked me—a girl liking me is a very rare thing. My cousin became her source of my information. In between all the flirting, she also started to sit outside where I would play basketball. On the day of prom, she held her hand out for me to hold and for a long time, I held it. I don’t even think it was cold, but it was nice to my memory. Lesson 25 When you hold your significant other’s hand there should be a distinct feeling to it. It’s indescribable, but you can tell once you you hold their hand because you don’t want to let it go. For the rest of the day, we didn’t say anything, but we knew that there was going to be prom later that night. As time passed, we didn’t say anything to each other. I just sat and talked to everyone else as if nothing happened. Then I decided to do something as a slow song played, I asked her to dance bended on one knee. She said yes and we danced for that one song. After that, I sat next to her and we continued holding hands. It was very weird and yet at the same time I was extremely happy. Unfortunately, we had to part ways and we didn’t want to leave each other.
